 27th Annual Most Valuable Redskin Assembly Candidates: 

Aiden Bernard:

Aiden is the son of Joseph and Amber Bernard.  He has two younger siblings, Hunter, a student at Hurricane Middle School, and Jolynn, a soon-to-be student at Conner Street Elementary School.

Aiden is a member of the HHS archery team and has been a member of LEO/YLA club, Mu Alpha Theta, Math Field Day team, and Science Quiz Bowl team for three years.  He intended to take leadership roles in those same clubs and activities this year, but COVID prevented it.  Aiden enjoys the outdoors, music, driving, and automotive design.

Aiden is a member of Winfield Baptist Church, Boy Scouts of America, and the Order of the Arrow.

Aiden plans to attend West Virginia University Morgantown,  majoring in mechanical engineering and, upon graduation, work in the automotive industry.

 Abigail Grace Fowler: 

Abigail Fowler is the daughter of Rob and Wendy Laukoter. She has two older brothers, Evan and Conner. Evan is in the US Army and is currently stationed in Washington. Conner attends WVU and will graduate in the spring.

 Abby is an active member of National Honor Society and FCA and has competed all 4 years on the soccer and track team. In her free time, she enjoys reading and being active outdoors.

Abigail is a member of the Presbyterian Church of the

Covenant and fosters animals through the Charleston animal shelter.

Upon graduation, Abigail is planning to attend West Virginia Wesleyan where she will major in elementary education with a minor in special education. She has also signed her commitment to play on their women’s soccer team.

 Isabella Hart: 

Isabella Hart is the daughter of Ron and Martina Hart. She has two older brothers, Vincent and Wyatt, and one older sister, Olivia. She has a niece, Penelope, and a nephew, Winston.

Isabella is an active member of the competition cheerleading team and captain of the swim team where she is an 8-time West Virginia state medalist. She serves her school as Student Body Treasurer, National Honor Society Vice President, Link Crew  Ambassador, and as a member of Mu Alpha Theta. She is also a past member of the track team, Math Field Day team, Peer Tutoring program, Key Club, International Club, Fuel Up to Play 60 Club, and FCA.

Outside of school, Isabella is a member of Ascension Catholic Church where she teaches Kindergarten Sunday School.  She is a lifeguard and swim instructor at the local YMCA and is an active member of the West Virginia Wild club swim team. In the  summer, she works as a lifeguard and swim instructor at Sleepy Hollow Pool and participates on the Sleepy Hollow swim team.

After high school, Isabella plans to attend West Virginia University on the Bucklew Scholarship and dual major in Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering.

 Madison Elizabeth Mayberry:

Madison, who goes by Maddie, is the daughter of Sean and Stephanie Mayberry. She has an older sister, Samantha, who  graduated from Hurricane in 2017 and is now a senior at the    University of South Carolina.

Maddie is a 4-year member of Student Council where she is currently serving as Student Body Vice President, as well as an   active member of National Honor Society and Fuel Up to Play 60. She played on the girls' soccer team for 4 years and was chosen as a Co-Captain her senior year.

Maddie is a member of River Ridge Church in Teays Valley. When she isn’t playing soccer, in her free time Maddie likes to write for her blog, travel, and spend time with her friends.

Maddie plans to attend Florida State University in the fall and major in Marketing to one day become a creative director.

 Jaxon Nicely:

Jaxon Nicely is the son of Shane and Elizabeth Nicely.  He has one older brother, Jordan, who is a student at West Virginia State University and one younger sister who is in the first grade at West Teays Elementary School.

Jaxon is the Student Body President, a member of the basketball team, the track team, and is active in National Honor Society and many other clubs.

Jaxon is a member of Pea Ridge Baptist Church.  He enjoys summertime, watersports, jeeps, lifeguarding, and spending time with close friends and family.

Jaxon plans to attend Marshall University and pursue a degree in Political Science.  Upon graduation he plans to pursue a law degree at West Virginia University.

Jonathan Thomas Vedral:

Jonathan is the son of Keith and Stephanie Vedral.  He has three younger sisters.  Hannah and Haley attend Hurricane Middle School.  Harper will attend preschool in the fall. 

Jonathan is a four year member of the HHS Tech Team.  Jonathan enjoys fly fishing, hunting, and cooking. 

Jonathan is a member of Gateway Christian Church and The  Fellas Futbol Club.  He is also a member of the Gallia  Shooting Aces Trap Team, Skeet Team, and Sporting Clays Team.

Jonathan plans to attend West Virginia University, majoring in Political Science.  Upon graduation, Jonathan would like to attend law school. 

 Anna Michele Watson: 

Anna is the youngest daughter of George and Tracy Watson.  She has one sister, Abby, who graduated from Hurricane in 2015 and a brother, Michael, who graduated from Hurricane as well in 2018.

Anna is an active member of the National Honor Society, DECA, International Club, Link Crew, Fellowship of Christian    Athletes, and the track and field team. Anna enjoys traveling, creating projects on her cricut, and hiking.

Anna is a member of the Ascension Catholic Church. She is also a part-time associate at Panera Bread. In the summer, she will be starting her position as a nurse extern.

Anna plans to attend Marshall University where she is a direct admit into the Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Upon graduation, she hopes to further her education and become a nurse practitioner.
