The window to change the instructional delivery model (virtual to in-person, in-person to virtual) will be from Monday, March 8 through Friday, March 12 3:30 pm. Changes requested after the cutoff date cannot be guaranteed. Changes will be made through a Microsoft Form that may be found on Schoology or the school website. If a change is made, the new delivery model will begin on April 5.

Votes are cast by the senior class and a link will be posted for seniors on Schoology Monday morning.
Hurricane High would like to thank Randall Reid-Smith, Commissioner of the West Virginia Department of Arts, History, and Culture, and the WVDE for their generous grant of $1,000 to promote the live performances of Red Hot and Heat Wave. We truly appreciate the commitment exhibited by Commissioner Reid-Smith and the WVDE to our students and their live performances.
This Friday is a 2 hour early out for Faculty Senate. We will be reversing the schedule starting with blocks 3 & 4 in the morning with 1 & 2 in the afternoon. Attached is the modified schedule.
Friday, February 26 will be a two-hour early dismissal for Faculty Senate. State code requires Faculty Senate to be held in February. We will dismiss at 1:36.
Due to the possibility of inclement weather, HHS has canceled the following after school activities for 2/10/21: 5th block Tutoring All conditioning activities (extracurricular and co-curricular)
Putnam County Schools will be dismissing two-hours early this Friday, February 12, 2021, for PCS employees to receive their final round of vaccinations. PCS was able to work with the pharmacy providing the vaccines to schedule the clinic at Hurricane High School Friday afternoon.
Hurricane High is pleased to announce Jaxon Smith and Caroline Damron have been selected as winners in The Education Alliance’s first drawing of the Cool Cash for College contest that rewards seniors with exciting prizes for applying for Promise/FAFSA! Great job Jaxon and Caroline!
If we are in school, tutoring will begin and will continue the days tutoring would normally be scheduled if you are in school.

FREE MEALS AVAILABLE FOR ALL PCS STUDENTS: This meal service is free of charge and available for ALL students, whether or not enrolled in the meal benefit program. Therefore, we encourage all families to take advantage of this opportunity. Daily pick-up times for meals are from 11:00 am - 12:30 pm at each school. Families will pick-up meals at their students’ home school location, curbside while remaining in the vehicle. If transportation is a problem, families may contact their home school to request meal delivery assistance.
