Hello, Conner Street Families,
On Tuesday, September 16th Conner Street will be joining other local schools in wearing gold to bring awareness to childhood cancer.
Our fundraiser is still running through September 22nd. Checks should be made payable to Conner Street Elementary. Also, we have had questions about purchasing cases. Cases need to be the same flavor; they are not mix and match.
Only about half of our families have completed the online information forms. Please try to complete those by next Friday. If you need a paper copy, please call Ms. Lisa or Ms. Kathy.
Our PTB/LSIC meeting is at 3:00 on 9/16.
There is no school for students on Friday, September 19th. It is a professional learning day for staff.
School Pictures are Thursday, September 25th. Flyers are being sent home today. Online purchasing is available for those interested.
No School Friday
Have a great weekend!

Hello, Conner Street Families,
We are excited to be starting a new fundraiser next week that will run through Monday, September 22nd. Order forms went home yesterday. I have personally had the pepperoni rollers that we are selling and will be ordering again. They freeze well and heat up nicely in the air fryer after thawing. Students that sell at least 50 rollers will be eligible for the rewards party. If we profit over $2000, we will be having the video game truck for the party, if not it will be a glow party or 30 minutes of extra recess. The winning students will vote for their choice. Also, the top 25 sellers will be having a pepperoni rollers party with Ms. Bird and myself.
Proceeds for the fundraiser will go toward the playground.
Regarding the playground, we have several pieces of new equipment that should be arriving any day now. Once they are installed, we do have to lay down matting and new fall surfacing before students are able to use the pieces. We are raising money to switch our areas to the rubber mulch surfacing that does not have to be replaced or replenished each school year. If you are interested in donating to the playground fund, please just reach out to Ms. Lisa, Ms. Bird or myself.
Class T-shirt orders are due by September 8th.
Finally, just another reminder that everyone should be going through the drop off line, this includes PreK starting next week. Also, when exiting in the morning, please only use one lane to exit, staff must enter the lot on the far end.
Have a great weekend!

There is no school on Monday, September 1st due to Labor Day.
Our PreK starts back to school next week, and our PreK parents will be parking to walk their students to the door for next week ONLY. Please be cautious, because we will have increased traffic and walkers in the parking lot. All other parents should be going through the traffic loop.
Class T-shirt orders are due by September 8th. This year all classes will have the same design, but a different color shirt. This allows students (or parents) to wear the shirt multiple years, and for it to be passed down to younger siblings. Additionally, it is easier to replace lost shirts. If you marked that you need financial assistance with the shirt, our PTB will be paying for ONE shirt for your child. They will not be paying for any parent shirts that were added to the form.
Have a great weekend!

Start of school information forms are online again this year. The link is on the county website, it will be sent out by the county, and a QR code was sent home earlier this week.
Our first PTB meeting of the year will be Tuesday, August 26th at 3:00 pm. For those of you that cannot make it in person, we can share a virtual link if you are interested. Just let us know.
The PTB calendar was sent home this week, and it is also pinned to the top of our Facebook page. It does have tentative dates for field day and the 5th grade celebration.
During the first month of school, we will be doing several safety drills. Please discuss with your child the importance of taking drills seriously, but also there is no need to be scared when it is stated that is a drill.
Have a great weekend!

Hello, Conner Street Families,
Tomorrow is the big day for grades K-.5 Student Drop Off begins at 7:10 and instruction begins at 7:30. To ensure a smooth drop off and the safety of all students, parents must go through the drop off line. No one should be parking in the parking lot and walking their child into the school. If you are dropping off medications, please go through line to drop off your child and then park to bring in medications. This eliminates students walking/running through the parking lot and into traffic.
Pizza Night – Our annual Pizza Hut fundraiser will be Thursday, August 21st. So, if you are too tired to cook on the first day of school, simply place an order with Pizza Hut and mention Conner Street.
Due to new rules and regulations concerning dyes in food, Conner Street will no longer be allowing birthday cupcakes and food items to be dropped off for students. Nonfood items/treat bags will be allowed if it has been pre-approved by the classroom teacher. Guidelines for class holiday parties will be sent closer to our first party date.
We do have yearbooks for sale for $30, if you would like to purchase one please send a note with the money in the class folder. Also, any student that ordered one and did not pick it up last night, it will be sent home this week.
Finally, start of school information forms are online again this year. The link is on the county website, it will be sent out by the county, and a QR code is being sent home from the school this week.

Headphones – Kindergarten and third grade students will be getting brand new iPads this year and they do not use the traditional plug in. We will have adapters, but if you are wanting to purchase new headphones for your kindergarten or third grade student, please look at the type with the USB-C plug.
