Lunch today is breaded chicken drumstick.
Seniors- Josten’s will be at the school today from 9:30-12:30 to hand out caps, gowns, and other senior items. If you still have a balance, they will only be accepting cash and money orders. No checks.
National Art Honor Society will meet today in Mrs. Philabaun's Art Room 136 during the second half of lunch.
Attention readers! A student-led book club is having their first meeting Thursday, 2nd half of lunch in Mr. Willard’s room (154). All are welcome!
Helping Paws is selling drawings of your pet...you give us a picture and a lovely portrait of your pet will be drawn. They are actually beautiful. The cost is $5 and you can sign up in the commons during lunch.
The Society of Women Engineers will meet today in Room 211. This is an important meeting so please try to make it.
Prom Tickets are on sale for all HHS Seniors, Juniors and their guests for $30 starting Monday, March 6. You can purchase your tickets in room 242 the first half of lunch and in room 224 the second half of lunch. Cash, Check made out to HHS or Credit Card is accepted. If you use a credit card, a surcharge of 3.5% and 50 cents per transaction will apply.
March 6 - March 31, Prom tickets will go on sale for all HHS Seniors and Juniors and their guests* for $30.
April 10 - April 28, Prom tickets will be on sale for all HHS Seniors and Juniors and their guests* for $40.
*Guests are HHS sophomores or freshman (who must be invited by a junior or senior and do not need a guest form), or any student that is not an HHS student (guests cannot be older than 20 years of age). Guest Forms with a photo of the Guests driver's license is due at the time of purchase. Guest Forms can be picked up in the office, room 224 and room 242 during lunch.
National Honor Society Applications are due to Mrs. Fife in Room 224 by noon on Friday, March 10 (No exceptions will be made to this date and time for the deadline so plan accordingly). If you need to get community service certificates signed off on, please see Mrs. Fife on Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday during lunch to sign off on those. Do not wait until Friday to get certificates signed off on.
NHS will host a Blood Drive on Monday, March 27 in the auxiliary gym from 8:00am-2:00pm. You must be 16 years of age or older and weigh at least 110 pounds to donate. See Mrs. Fife, message her on Schoology or email her at wendy.fife@k12.wv.us to sign up. You will receive a community service certificate for donating. You must be signed up prior to the day of the blood drive to donate, and if you are 16 years old, you must have a consent form signed by your parent/guardian.
The deadline to pay for all AP Exams is April 6th. Please visit the Hurricane High School web page, under parent/student info. Then click on AP Payment and Registration. If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Hayslett in Room 245
