Senior Computer and Book Return: Wednesday, May 19—Students who are exempt from finals should turn textbooks into their classroom teacher. We will have a Mentoring at the end of the day for those seniors, who are exempt, to turn their computers in. Ms. Mowery will have the check off sheets and forms for the kids to fill out who are turning in their computers. Thursday and Friday, May 20-21—Students should turn their books into the teacher at the end of their test. Please instruct the students to go to the Aux gym to turn their computers in, after they are finished taking all their finals. Attention Juniors: HHS will administer the SAT School Day assessment on Tuesday, April 13. Please arrive by 8:30 am, pre-registration will begin at 8:35. This assessment is used by the WVDE to compare schools across the state. Over the last several years, Hurricane High has ranked in the Top 5 in the state in both English and math test scores. The test can be used for PROMISE Scholarship eligibility and college entrance. Students who meet or exceed the cut score for English and math will be eligible for prizes during a class meeting early in the fall of 2021. Those students will also be the first to receive their senior cards for 2021-2022.
